SipSomm and Absalon invite you to Wine School three Thursdays in a row -- an educational and informal introduction to the basic concepts of wine.

At this wine school, over three Thursdays, we will delve into specific relevant themes so that you will have a broader and more in-depth understanding of what wine is. We review topics such as wine analysis, barrel storage, grape varieties, climate/terroir impact and much more!

DAY 1: WHAT IS WINE? \ **
Types of wine, winemaking, how does wine taste and describes
E.g. bubbles, white, rosé, orange, red wine

DAY 2 -- COUNTRIES, GEOGRAPHY AND GRAPE VARIETIES
Taste and discuss different grape varieties, countries of Europe
E.g. Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot

DAY 3 -- SAME GRAPE -- DIFFERENT CLIMATE
Old vs. New World, influence from terroir/climate
E.g. Chardonnay from the new world vs gl. world
